Mayor Bloomberg's homeless plan.

It seems hard times call for brutal decisions as I was shocked to hear from CNN that the New York City Council has come up with a daring plan to solve the homeless issue.

Mayor Bloomberg's staff announced the only way to take the homeless off the streets is to simply get rid of them!

Yes,you heard right.

The New York scheme initiated by the Mayor himself has the city providing the homeless with free bus, plane tickets, even petrol vouchers to destinations varying from cities elsewhere within the U.S mainland to places like South Africa, Russia, Haiti and Puerto Rico.

Shameless officials stated that by doing this it would save the city the cost of placing them in expensive shelters.

The question is - how can these people come up with such an argument when in such difficult times they continue to flush millions of dollars down the drain for irrelevant purposes (free concerts, parades, exhibitions etc).

A recent survey shows the number of homeless people living in New York has increased by almost 25 percent in the last two years.

Each night thousands of neglected civilians are seen sleeping on the streets, in the subway system, and in other public spaces.

Is Mayor Bloomberg familiar with the fact that a great majority of these people are suffering mental illnesses or other severe health problems?

The solution Mr. Bloomberg is not to get rid of these people the same way troubled and incompetent parents abandon a new born on building entrances or even in garbage bins.

These results are yet again living proof of our crumbling global society and of the fact that we are governed by a hand full of incompetent individuals that lack vision and the courage to deal with such important issues.
